My first blog post!
We have been living here in Stafford, VA for almost three months now. It's a lot like Missouri to me minus our families not being here and people are in a hurry a lot. We've had an earthquake, a hurricane, and even a tornado. (Which was only a few miles north of here and I didn't know about it until a week later!) They were calling for snow in the area on Saturday. The day of our Halloween party. Not cool! Mother Nature had mercy on us this time and though it flurried occasionally and was cold, there were no issues with the weather.
I was so excited to have a Halloween party! I was even more excited that other girls were coming and I wouldn't be the only girl here on the weekend for a change. I invited people on Facebook and Brian was in charge of inviting people from TBS. "Brian" and "in charge of inviting people" should never be used in the same sentence again. He kept forgetting even though the list was in his uniform pocket every day! Boys...
Despite this, we had 13 people show up. We decorated our house a bit and bought costumes. Brian was a pirate I was a pirate's wench.
I had a hat but it was really large and I couldn't function properly with it on.
During the party, Sharp broke Brian's pirate sword and he was super sad.
Our coffee table decorations
The doorway to the kitchen. It was covered all the way but it kept getting caught on people and getting in the way.
Brian's headless horseman pumpkin
My mummy pumpkin
I made a front door decoration but the wind kept blowing it off so it got to chill on the pumpkin.
Our caldron of drinks.
The bathroom door. Brian wanted this sign so bad!
Decorated bannister with a not so sober Brian in the background
The other half of our bannister.
Also a plus of posting these pictures, you can finally see some of our house! ;-) I promise those pictures along with wedding pictures will come soon!
